Whoo-wee, I got a LOT done today. I am starting to get in a bit of panic over the wedding and had to stop and breathe today. I realize that things will get done.....
Brian is trying to hide, he knows my honey-do list is LONG!!!
Morning started off with my Shakeology - pb and banana mixed with water, delish! Then workout - TurboFire 55 EZ (so not easy, I really had to tell myself that I was NOT TIRED!!) Then hit the shower and got in the office to get caught up on a few things.
Lunch was homemade tomato soup, a glob salad (glob of hummus is a Brian salad specialty from the old Isadora days) loaded with carrots, tomatoes, avocado and balsamic vinagrette and whole wheat bread with earth balance and a sprinkle of garlic powder. YUM! Miss those days and people from Isadora's....
Brian and I ran some errands and got a bed for Jake's old room. Mom - you WILL have a place to sleep when you visit :) They are going to deliver it on Thursday and that is one big thing marked off my wedding to-do list. Now, to shop for bedding, that is the fun part!
Snack today was grapes. I was hungry, but it worked and then it was afternoon workout time. ChaLEAN Extreme Burn Circuit 1. My arms and legs were shaking like crazy and it was a good workout.
Then I was REALLY starving, so we had our second shake! This time it was the chocolate with honey and peanut butter. It was good. See the above photo, it didn't look much different :)
I've had a ton of water, but I haven't been able to keep an accurate count since Brian is sharing with me.
We just got home from running a few more errands and a quick stop at the casino. I lost, Brian won, it was a wash!
Now, I'm tired and need to read my 10 pages of personal development. I'm reading The Four Agreements again. I really love that book!
Our Facebook Book Club is in full swing and we are reading our first book - Sleep Tight by Anne Frasier. It's good so far and I've had to make myself stop reading and I wasn't ready to do that! We start our discussion of the first 5 chapters tomorrow. If you are interested in joining in the fun, I need a friend request from you on facebook and I can get you added to the group! We are going to be reading all kinds of books! We are trying to focus on the free books for the kindle or nook apps. This way everyone can participate!
How has your day been? Eating clean? Exercise? Drink your water?
I'll be posting my food/exercise and then at the end I'll post my results. I have a pretty lofty goal to be in shape for the wedding. I'll do better on the photos of food tomorrow!
Fun photo of my favorite soon-to-be-wed couple!
Adorable!

It's a needy kind of day!
Hey everyone! Hope your day is just the best!
Our weather here is a lot like it was in Colorado today. Cool and overcast. I'm okay with that, we need rain so bad!
Yesterday was TurboFire 55 EZ. I don't care what anyone says, it is not an EZ workout! I made it through it and I truly think my clothes could've walked to the laundry room all on their own. I was a sweaty mess!
My foot has started acting up again, so I brought out my frozen bottle for icing it and am trying to just get through it. I was glad that today was a little easier workout on the foot.
I'm wearing the bodybugg today! I thought it might take a little getting used to wearing it again, but it hasn't bothered me at all. So, I am a double gadget gal again.... bodybugg and fitbit, EXCEPT, the digital display battery was DEAD! We can't change it until we get a tool to take the back off. Brian is a tool-a-holic and you would think he would have something out there that works, but no such luck. He's been like a kid in a candy store today, all giddy and happy because he has to go to Lowe's to get a new tool. I just hope I can keep him focused and on track and get out quickly. :)
Both gadgets are in my amazon store if you are interested in getting one! If you have ANY questions, please let me know. I can hopefully answer them for you!
I'm also going out for strawberries. I have a new strawberry cookbook and a few things have caught my eye. Look for a post and recipes tomorrow!
Madelyn just left and she wore me out today! She started off the day telling me she was onery. I knew I was in for it. Her latest thing is "I need". I need "onies" (short for macaroni and cheese), I need to read a book, I need that toy, I need that other toy, I need , I need, I need! So, it's been a needy kind of day!
She needed to check her email, so she said.....
Oh, if you have a kindle or a nook, check out pixelofink.com or like them on facebook. They list all the free and reduced price books. Loving the free books I've been reading and getting to know some new authors.
I need a foot massage, I need a chai latte, I need to take a walk, I need another vacation ....... not sure any of those are going to happen for me :)

Fit Club Tuesday!
Good Tuesday! That means another Fit Club! I love Tuesdays, I get to workout with my friends! There is nothing better than getting healthy together!
Remember that we are at my house for the next month or so. I'll be finding another location soon, but in the meantime......
Fit Club Workout:
We are doing the BEST OF CHALENE JOHNSON this month! We've TurboFire'd, Chalean Extreme'd and Turbo Jam'd. So tonight we will be mixing it all up! I'm thinking a little Jam first and then some abs (CE) and stretch (TF). I think we can work all 3 in tonight!
Fit Club Recipe:
Strawberry Salad with marinated tofu
I LOVE strawberry salads. I make them frequently and they are so easy and I can change them up according to what I have on hand. Plus, they are so pretty!
This one is mixed greens, red onion, sliced almonds, strawberries and mandarin oranges (canned, drained).
Marinated tofu:
I used the cubed tofu, drained.
in a shallow bowl (pie plate works great too), I added bragg's liquid amino's, liquid smoke, chopped garlic, chopped onion, couple drops of tobasco sauce, dash of lemon juice. Put the tofu in the bowl, pour the sauce over it and make sure all of it is covered. Stir several times and leave it for at least an hour.
When the tofu is marinated to your liking, you can bake it or saute it. I sauteed mine. I put a little bit of olive oil in the pan and then dumped the whole tofu and marinade in the pan. I cooked it until the liquid was gone.
I put that on top of the strawberry salad and then used a balsamic dressing on top of that!
Equal parts balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Add spices to your liking.
Then eat and enjoy!
So YUMMY!

normal routine?
We've all had time to recover from Christmas and the stress and fun that goes along that with, so now it is time to settle into our normal routines.
What does your routine look like? Does your New Year's Resoultions impact it at all?
My routine has changed up a little:
Morning:
I make my to-do list, yes I am keeping it on my phone these days. This way I always have it with me. LOVE THAT! My folders are today's to-do-list, weekly to-do list, push goal, weekly goals and affirmations!
Quick facebook/twitter/email check in
Workout
These days it is Turbo Fire or Brazil Butt Lift - still hurts to walk from tuesday night's workout!
Shakeology
Then I get started tackling my to-do list:
I also did a 20 min speed cleaning, had lunch and went to the grocery store and did my Spanish lesson for the day! I'm on fiyah with my list ;)
So, in between doing all the wonderfully dull things on my list, I check my email and facebook (I'm a bit addicted!) and if Brian has something fun to do, I'm always game! We try to eat dinner together most nights and if anyone wants to work out after work, I never pass that chance up!
I try to keep my evenings free to spend time with Brian, but I do have fit club on Tues and calls on Wed nights.
So a few things have changed since the beginning of the year. I am really working on being more organized and my to-do list is helping with that.
Brian is going hunting next week and I think I'll be re-organizing the office while he's gone. Lord knows, it needs it!
Welcome to my exciting life!!!

Fit Club Monday
It's Monday and that means time for another Fit Club Edition! I love Monday's. New start and for me a get back to my regular routine day! I love going on vacation, but I need to get back to more vigorous workouts! This morning was TurboFire 45 and Stretch 10. Loved every minute of it and burned 451 calories so far. I was wearing my Puma Cardiac heart rate monitor (review to come tomorrow!) and it was working overtime!!!
Tonight's Fit Club is going to be Chalean Extreme Dynamic Flow Yoga. I need a little stretching and movement all together and this is the perfect workout for it! This workout is part of the Deluxe version of CE.
Dynamic Flow Yoga - Lengthen and strengthen your muscles for a long, lean silhouette with this energizing workout. (40 minutes)
If you are in the Los Angeles area, you have to go to the TurboFire Launch Party. I so wish I could go, but I already have a trip to CA planned for late Aug, and can't go this time around.
Here's the details:
Fit Club Recipe
one of our favorite go-to meals is pizza. It's so quick and easy! This is my favorite right now (it changes all the time!)
I use Mama Mary's pizza crust. It is so easy, they come in large ones (2 per package) or the small ones (3 per pkg). The small ones are great, just the right amount and I don't tend to overeat!
I also use tomato sauce. I like the basil, garlic and oregano version!
Spread the tomato sauce on the pizza crust and add your toppings.
Black olive, basil and onion with Daiya mozzarella cheese is on my list of favorites right now, but you can add whatever toppings you like. Brian is in love with BBQ chicken. ( red onion, chicken (already cooked), black olives and a drizzle of BBQ sauce over the top with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses). I'm using the basil out of my garden. It is one of the things that is doing great! Yay!
Bake in the oven as directed on the pizza crust package and enjoy! This is what we'll be having for lunch or dinner tonight, so I'll be sure to post a photo! They look delicious and they are!

I am blessed!
I just feel so blessed this morning! We had such a good day yesterday with friends and family and this morning I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle whatever was thrown my way. It happened to be cleaning up the yard first thing, then on to the house! We had so much fun yesterday that it looked like a tornado came through our property. We cut down some trees and that had to be cleaned up and Brian and I made short work of it first thing. We ate the ugly frog (reference to Brian Tracy's book - Eat That Frog, which is about time management - love it!) in about 2 hours. I have a feeling that I will be sore tomorrow, I think I used muscles I haven't used in a while. I burned about 350 calories and then went in to tackle the kitchen.
It is done and I have had my shower (which felt wonderful by the way!). I'm sure everyone is so thankful for that part of my day!
I have been doing the Turbo Fire workouts and I am loving them and I've decided to start the 5 day Inferno Plan. Since I don't eat meat or dairy (other than what is in my Shakeology), I think I'll document what I am doing (if you all are interested) to prove that it can be done without the meat and dairy. I'll follow the plan, but sub in with non-meat/dairy products. I'll post each day what I am doing and how I modify the recipes.
This will go along pretty good with the Vive Le Vegan class over at marilu.com. Then we are going on vacation for a few days and I'll have a great start! Brian and I are planning on less eating out and eating more local, fresh foods. We bought a great little cooler to take with us each day as we explore the area we are in! I'm so excited for our trip and can't wait to get started!
If anyone has great ideas or places we should not miss in Santa Fe or Colorado Springs or anywhere in between, please let me know. We want to have the most fun possible!
See I am so blessed to have such wonderful family, friends and online friends, I am blessed to be able to do my job from anywhere and I am blessed that Brian and I can live out our dream of traveling and seeing this beautiful country!

Fit Club Monday - 4th of July edition!
We are just getting home from a fun weekend! I am a little sunburned and a lot tired! I love spending time with family and friends. We had a GREAT 4th. Great food, Brian made corn on the cob, potatoes and shrimp, I made some mac n cheese, kohlrabi, and fruit, and Todd made his famous macaroni salad, Judy had some wonderful beer bread and Lisa made cookies and brownies! It was such a good meal. Something for everyone!
We hung out on the deck for a while and then loaded up the boat to watch the F-16 flyover and the fireworks. Unfortunately, the flyover was canceled due to the weather. Not sure if it was too windy or if it was rainy where they were flying in from. We were a little disappointed, but the fireworks more than made up for it!
The girls got to para-sail finally this morning. They loved it and we got some great photos of them! It is so fun, I was wishing I could go again!
Tonight's fit club is once again Turbo Fire! I am in love with this program. It's like Turbo Jam and Insanity had a love child. We are starting week 3 tonight! I've had several cancel on tonight's workout, probably a little too much fun over the weekend or too sunburned to work out! If you'd like more info on how to purchase a copy of your own Turbo Fire, please email me or leave me a message!
Today's recipe is kohlrabi:
Take your kohlrabi - raw and slice it
spread the slices out in a dish and cover with extra virgin olive oil and spices.
I used a spice blend and used quite a bit of it. It was really tasty. The kohlrabi is a bit peppery and spicy, but I really liked it. I think it would be great in salads and soups.
Discussion: did you try a new food from your local farmer's market this weekend? If so, what did you try and how did you prepare it?

Fit Club Monday - Turbo Edition
So, on this Fit Club Monday, what are you doing for your workout? Remember, even walking is a good workout. Just be sure to do something. If you don't love working out, then you just haven't found the right workout yet! If you are looking to find that perfect workout, let me know. I can help you find something that you will look forward to doing!
You guys know how much I love journaling and think it is so important, and imagine how excited I was when I saw that the deluxe version of Turbo Fire came with a journal!
I like that it is small enough to carry in my purse. I'll have it with me wherever I am so there is no reason not to keep track of my stats!
If you'd like to order your own Turbo Fire, just click here! Remember if you see the infomercial on tv, please order from my site. It's the same price and you get to have me as your coach! I'd really appreciate it! That goes for all Beachbody products!
Recipe:
Eggplant Stacks
I didn't get these made to take a photo yesterday as planned, but I am having a girlfriend over for lunch and we are going to make these today! So yummy!
1 eggplant - sliced fairly thick
1 yellow squash or zucchini (your choice) also sliced fairly thick
olive oil
1 jar prepared spaghetti sauce
Daiya cheese
basil
Brush the eggpland and squash slices with olive oil. Grill the eggplant and squash slices for a few minutes on each side until close to being cooked completely. I had to just saute them in a sauce pan today, the gas grill doesn't have any gas AAGH!
On a cookie sheet - layer the eggplant and squash slices with spaghetti sauce in between the layers. I like 3 layers. 2 eggplant and 1 squash. Top with more spaghetti sauce and the cheese and chopped basil.
Put in the oven - I like to broil them, but you could bake them, just to finish cooking and brown the top!
So tasty! Enjoy!
Discussion: Do you shop at the farmer's market? I love going each weekend and LOVE the fresh, local produce!!!! What is your favorite item to purchase? This week, we bought fresh bread, blackberries, green beans and new potatoes, corn on the cob and onions. Gonna be a GREAT meal!

Turbo Fire in the house!
I have been waiting for Turbo Fire to be released every since I tried it at the Beachbody Coaches Summit and yesterday my waiting is over ( well, kind of). Turbo Fire is now available! I was on Twitter and Facebook watching Carl Daikeler's posts and awaiting the news of the release. He was teasing us a bit, but it was released and I raced over to my teambeachbody.com page to order.
Now I just have to wait for it to be shipped. Oh the anticipation! I was like a little school girl yesterday, so giddy and clapping and Brian was looking at me like I was a fool! I loved every minute of it. Twitter and Facebook were on fi-yah with the news. It was fun to see how many of the other Beachbody people were ordering and encouraging their customers to do the same. So man of us have been waiting on it!
It is available for purchase now through a Beachbody coach, if you were waiting on it too, get your copy here: Turbo Fire. I will be your coach and I can help you get the best results possible. We can do it together and report in with each other to stay accountable!
Over 1200 copies were sold in the first 2 hours. It is CRAZY!!!!
So, my back is bothering me again. I hurt it doing Insanity about 3 months ago now and it flares up every now and again. I am going to stretch and do yoga for the rest of the week and hopefully it will recover in time for my Turbo Fire to get here.
Anyone watch Top Chef last night? I love that show and get excited for it to come on. Any favorite cheftesant yet?
Discussion: What do you do when you have an injury that prevents you from working out? Do you baby it along, push through? I'm looking for any ideas here!
Anyone interested in a workout challenge? I'm thinking about putting on together so if you'd participate, let me know. I'll get working on it!!

Fit Club Monday
Good Monday Morning! As you know I love Monday's. It's a fresh start to a new week. It you didn't like last week, here is a chance to have a do over!!!
I have been working out in the mornings - bright and early!! It's hard to crawl out of bed at 5:30 when you haven't slept well, and my buddies decided not to brave the rain this morning and I slept on instead of getting up. I'm okay with that, I'll still get my workout done today!
Do you like to get your workouts done first thing? I really don't think there is a best time to workout, the best time is whenever you will do it. Just make sure to get it done! That is the important part!
Today's Featured Workout:
Turbo Fire! I can not wait for this to come out - Only 4 more days!!!!
If you want to order it when it comes out on the 18th, head over to my website - missourifitclub.com and click on the shop button! This one is GREAT. We got to try it at summit and I loved every minute of it!
Turbo Fire is the total-body, cardio-conditioning program with the best trainer, the best music, the best workouts and the best spot in class!
Today's Recipe:
Summer is here and I always look for great dips and hot weather recipes to stay cool and serve at parties!
Pico De Gallo - Neal Barnard, MD from The get healthy, go vegan cookbook!
This salsa is at its best wen absolutely fresh. Serve with corn tortilla chips, as a topping for your favorite burrito or in a cheeseless quesadilla.
1 large sweet onion, such as Maui or Vidalia, chopped
15 Roma Tomatoes (about 2 lbs) chopped
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
1 cup firmly packed cilantro leaves and tender stems, chopped
1 tsp kosher salt
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl and serve.
Discussion: What is your favorite hot weather dish? I love all kinds of dips, easy to make and easy to eat!

2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped

Fit Club Monday - Turbo Fire
Fit Club Monday is here again! I had a great weekend and now I am ready to get back to my workout routine. I do workout on the weekends, but it is not the same as my weekly workouts. I may walk with hubby, do a DVD, or yoga. I do get a lot more cleaning and working in the yard done on the weekends as well, and yes, that counts too! And, 1 day of the weekend is a rest day. No formal workout at all. I really believe that our bodies need a rest day every week. I know that I ask a lot of my body throughout the week, so one day off is a good thing. It allows the body to recover and repair.
We had a blast at the lake! The kids came down with Madelyn and she had her first boat ride. She wasn't very impressed either! but she looked adorable in her bathing suit!
This week's featured Fit Club Monday workout:
Turbo Fire!
Turbo Fire will be available sometime in June, but One on One subscribers got a sneak peek video. 15 mins of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). I have done this workout twice now and I can not wait for the full product to come out! If you want to know when this is available, be sure to sign up here for the email notification! Beachbody will send you an email when you can log on and purchase it!
