44? Really?

Today is my 44th birthday! I can't believe that I am 44! I don't feel 44. I remember when I was younger and thought that 40 was old. I still feel like I am in my early 20's, where in the world did all this time go?

Things are sagging that shouldn't be, my hair is falling out like crazy, but for the most part, I don't feel old! Actually, I think I am in the best shape of my life. Thanks to my job with Beachbody, I have been exercising and eating healthy for some time now. It has made a world of difference in how I feel and look.

I have so many reasons to be thankful on this day! Brian is here with me, he is the love of my life and my best friend. We have been married for 25 years now and I can't imagine him not being here. He is recovering nicely from his motorcycle accident and we are coping with the recovery. My kids are all out of the house and on their own for the most part. I think we did a pretty good job raising them. They are good kids. They may not make the best choices all the time, but on the whole it's all good. Our new grandbaby is the most beautiful baby ever. LOL! We might be just a little biased :)

I am fortunate that I can work from home. This has made such a difference in being able to stay home with Brian during this recovery. I would've had to quit my job if I worked outside the home!

So, all in all, life is good and 44 is just a number.

  1. Enjoy your birthday! You've got a lot of good things happening.

I know what you mean about the hair loss-- I lose so many strands a day it is scary. I finally picked up some Biotin to possibly help me retain the rest of my locks!!

  2. Happpy 44th Birthday! I am not happy with aging, but I am embracing it, or trying to. Have a wonderful day and take care. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  3. Happy Birthday! I think a birthday is definitely a time for celebration. Each birthday is an opportunity to be thankful for another year of life. So getting older just means you're still alive! (-: Yay for 44! (-: My mom just turned 50 this weekend! (-:

  4. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!! You HOT Grandma YOU!

  5. Carma, what is up with the hair loss? I thought mine was stress, but it could just be part of the aging process. Oh well, biotin here I come LOL!

Kiki, I am embracing it! Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Dustie, thank you for the wishes!

Kathryn, you are so right. I am not that concerned with my age really. I'm very blessed and look forward to 44 more years!

  6. Sarah, we must've been posting at the same time. Thanks for your kind words!

  7. Have a very happy birthday! :) Glad you are feeling so young! I have to share this with you... my grandpa turned 91 this year, and I asked him, "So, do you feel 91?" He said, "No." I then asked, "How old do you feel?" He said, "Oh, about 60." I thought it was so funny! I couldn't believe he felt 3 decades younger! ;)

I hope you continue feeling young, healthy, and beautiful!

  8. I'm 42 and was thinking today that there will come a day that 42 is going to sound pretty good! So I'm having that attitude right now. :o)
