boss in a green wig?

Miss Madelyn came over to play yesterday and we had a blast.  She helped me clean and of course in putting some shoes in the closet found my green St. Patrick's Day Wig.  We had a lot of fun with it, who knew????

We played most of the day, watched (well sort of) a movie - Pochahontas, I was just glad for something other than Special Agent Oso (he's a unique stuffed bear, you know.) and had lemonade and berries for snack.

She is really starting to develop a fun personality and even though she is bossy (wonder where she gets that) we always have a great time!

I always look forward to Wednesdays!

This morning I have Insanity Pure Cardio.  That is the hardest workout, but I still love pushing myself as hard as I can.  Yesterday's workout seemed harder than usual (Plyo Cardio Circuit) and I'm hoping that I have more energy this morning!  Talk about a sweatfest.  EVERYTIME!

Today will be spent in my office.  It needs some attention, organizing and cleaning.  So, I'm going to take the time to get it done!

Discussion:  Any good organizing/cleaning tips?

Stranger Tides?

Wow, yesterday was a GREAT day!

Shopping with the girls and I got some amazing deals and fun stuff!

Here's a photo of my loot:

Random much?  Can't decide which color nail polish to try first....  any suggestions?   I love the names of them.

Skull and Glossbones - kind of a silver/gray
Planks a Lot - a fun purple
Sparrow Me the Drama - PINK
Stranger Tides - a sagey green

I was looking for the Katy Perry collection, but haven't been able to find it, so I ordered it last night from amazon.  I'm an amazon junkie - be sure to check out my store if you haven't for some of my favorite things!

One of the larabars  -  carrot cake, didn't make it home.  It was delish!

Here's a better shot of my new purse, I kinda have a purse addiction.... jus' sayin'

Love it!

This is the dress I bought.  I'm debating about wearing it to Summit or to the wedding.

Love the color!

After our shopping excursion, I ran in the door, grabbed a quick bite to eat and got ready for FIT CLUB!

We killed it (or ourselves) with Insanity Plyo Cardio and were a sweaty mess.  It pushed us to our limits for sure, but we had a good time.  Not as much laughter, we were all trying to just breathe.

After workout we sampled the P90X Results and Recovery drink.  This stuff is GOLDEN!  It tastes good and really does help after a hard workout!

Refuel, re-energize, and reduce muscle soreness with this after-workout shake. Four parts carbs to one part protein ensures speedy muscle repair after intense workouts!* Now all-natural, with no artificial flavors or sweeteners.

I'm a little sore today, but not too bad.  I can't wait to hear how the fit club girls are doing today.  I hope they can walk.  Insanity will shred your calves the first time!

After workout, recovery drink and drying off as best as possible, I headed into our office for my Success Club call.  It was one of the best so far.  Everyone is doing great, pushing each other and getting results!  I talked with my new success partner for several minutes and it is going to be another good week!

Then it was reading (Failing forward by John Maxwell).  I am loving this book!

The stories are all about people that didn't give up until they reached success!  It's good to know that others have failed at many things, but very nice to know that they have reached amazing successes!

I know I can do it too!

Madelyn is here today and she is wanting to lounge in her pajamas.  With the overcast weather, I am thinking she has the right idea.....

I know we'll be playing with the new Zoku ice pop maker!  Can't wait!

Dig Deep!

It's Tuesday and we are going to dig deep at tonight's Fit Club!

FIT CLUB WORKOUT:

INSANITY - this is the first time I have offered Insanity at fit club, this workout is hard, but the group is up for it!  We are doing the best of Shaun T, and you can't have that month without Insanity!

I love the workout, but it is HARD!  If you are up for a truly challenging workout, Insanity is for you!  The first time I tried it, I couldn't get through the warm-up. I KNOW!

FIT CLUB RECIPE:

Shakeology Ice Cream by Tami French ( a fellow beachbody coach)

Here is the recipe of the shakeology ice cream that I can't get enough of:

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup almond milk

1/4 cup coconut milk

1 tsp natural peanut butter

2 scoops of  Protein Powder (Vanilla)

1 scoop chocolate shakeology

mixed for a few seconds and then add a lot of ice to make it thick like soft serve ice cream.

Once it's the thickness you like scoop it into a bowl and top with a crunched Protein bar and shredded coconut! It's the best ever! Enjoy...

I'm heading out for a girls shopping day, I'm shopping for my dresses for Summit (the Beachbody Coaches convention).  Gonna be a good day!  I'll post tomorrow what I find!

It's all about Shaun T!

Hey hey Hey!  It's Tuesday!!!

FIT CLUB WORKOUT:

May is all about Shaun T.  Yesterday was his birthday and we are celebrating tonight with a Hip Hop Abs workout!  Get ready to have some fun!  Dance away those lbs and inches!!

The plan for May is Hip Hop Abs, Rockin' Body, Insanity and Asylum.  One extreme to the other :)  I can not wait!

Looking at Shaun T certainly makes those workouts a little more fun!!

FIT CLUB RECIPE:

I've been having a lot of fun with my Shakeology lately.  Trying out some new recipes:

Twilight:
1 scoop chocolate shakeology
10 oz water ( I like mine thinner)
1 tsp vanilla
ice to taste

Cherry Monkey:
1 scoop chocolate shakeology
1/2 cup dark, sweet cherries ( I like to use frozen)
1/2 banana
8-10 oz water
splash of almond milk
ice to taste

Blueberry Dream Shakeology
1 scoop chocolate shakeology
8-10 oz water
splash of almond milk
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 banana
ice to taste

Shakeology Ice Cream
One of my favorites - recipe from Mike and Tami French:

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup almond milk
1/4 cup coconut milk ( or mimic creme)
1 tsp natural peanut butter or 2 tbsp PB2
2 scoops protein powder (vanilla, I love Sun Warrior brown rice protein)
1 scoop chocolate Shakeology

Mix for a few seconds and then add a lot of ice to make it thick like soft serve ice cream.  When it is the thickness you like, scoop into a bowl and top with shredded coconut, sliced almonds or even a crunched up protein bar!

Be sure to check out the May issue of  O Magazine for a great article about some of the healthy ingredients in Shakeology.  Great article and the best part, all the ingredients are IN Shakeology!!

Foam rollers

Here is a quick video on using a foam roller to help with muscle soreness.  I started Insanity on Monday and have been so sore ( mostly my calves!).  This is one way to relieve the pain!

Discussion:  Any good tips for relieving muscle soreness?  Do you get sore when you start a new fitness program?

hot date tonight!

I have a hot date tonight!  I can NOT wait!

I'll be joining my 3 bff's today:

I've already taken advantage of the ibuprofen and the Vitamin D!  But tonight I get to soak in the tub with the epsom salts.

Since I started Insanity this week, my calves are shredded!  It hurts to walk, it hurts to go from sitting to standing, it hurts to squat  AND I have Madelyn today.  However, if I keep moving, I am pretty good!

I also have found that I hurt more the second day the most.  Then the pain begins to subside - YAY!

What are the best ways to deal with sore muscles:

1)  Ice - use ice packs to help with the inflammation

2)  anti-inflammatory meds  - like ibuprofen will also help with the soreness

3)  massage - get a foam roller and go to town.  This helps to release the lactic acid that builds up in the muscles.  It may be a bit painful to start, but it will help!

4)  WATER - flush out the lactic acid build up.  Drink up!

5)  epsom salt baths - soak in the tub (don't get the water too hot) and just relax.  Make it enjoyable, music, candles or a good book can help!  Sip on your water while you are in the tub!

6)  Stretching - stretching and yoga will help relieve the pain and soreness too!

7)  keep exercising - don't skip your workouts just because you are sore,  once you get moving, the soreness will get better! You may want to take it a little easier on your body, but keep moving!

8)  therma-care wraps/heat pads - these can be helpful to increase blood flow to the muscles

These are just a few of the things I do to help ease the soreness.  I almost always get sore when starting a new program.  I kinda like it, I know that the workouts are working, but if it is too painful, take it easy for a few days.  You should still be able to function.  So, if it is more than that, please consult your Dr!

I am waiting on a new mircophone for my computer.  I am hoping it will be here today and when I get it, I'll make a video that shows you how to use a foam roller!  I love mine.  It really helps!

I'll be enjoying that soak in the tub tonight for sure!

Never use it with BEAR feet!

So many random things to talk about today!

First of all, I got my herstyler and I am loving it.  My hair looks good (straight) and I have decided that I don't think I'll be giving up my "day" job to be a hairstylist.  HA!  Meredith and I tried to make the curls like they did, but it didn't quite work out....  I need a lesson or two.  Lauren says she can help there.  Thank goodness!  I don't think Meredith will be having me curl her hair again anytime soon.

I did love the instructions:

NEVER use the device with BEAR Feet!  LOVE IT!

Over the weekend, I committed to do a 5K in March.  As long as it isn't scheduled when we are planning on going on vacay (Savannah GA, Baby!) then I will be running.  I am NOT a runner.  I don't know what came over me, but I am going to do it!  So, to get in shape for it, I am doing Insanity and running.  I was in the best cardiovascular shape when I did Insanity last time.  Today was Day 2.  I did Plyo Cardio Circuit.  41 mins of pure hell.  But, I did it!  My calves will be screaming tomorrow and Wed.

Insanity is also the #1 rated infomercial.  Remember if you want to purchase it, go through my website, you'll get a bonus workout you do not get from the infomercial!

I am going to try and follow the meal plan as closely as possible ( avoiding all the meat and dairy and subbing in tofu, beans and eggs, almond milk and daiya).  It's hard when you don't eat meat and dairy, but I'm going to do my best.  I'll be blogging about my experience as much as I can and as much as you guys want to read about it!

Lauren, Kathie (Lauren's mom) and I went to the bridal show yesterday.  This was my first visit to a bridal show!  I didn't really know what to expect, we walked around, looked at all the booths and tasted more cupcakes.  I think a decision has been made on the cake!  It will be yummy!

Laren will be a beautiful bride!

Being a bride is tiring......

Feb Pinky Promise Challenge Recap

So, it is now the 6th of Feb and I have only earned 2 points so far.  I haven't really blogged about my workouts and eating, so this is the place I will be doing it!  I need some accountability and if I know someone is going to be reading what exactly I am doing, then I will do better than I have for the first 5 days!

Here is my plan:

Diet Plan

b - shakeology
s - recovery drink (after workout if needed) or fruit
l - carb meal
s - green drink/smoothie
d - protein meal

water - 64 oz per day

Workout plan

m - insanity workout
t - am - treadmill/running  pm - fit club workout (slim series for Feb)
w - insanity
th - treadmill/running
f - brazil butt lift or turbo fire
s - yoga/stretching
s - complete rest day (if wanted) or treadmill time

So, I am putting it out there and going to post here daily.  This post may get long, but I'll be staying on track better.  Hope you will join me in being accountable.  Remember, we have the challenge on the message boards.  Check in there if you want to help each other through the month!

2-7-10

I didn't want to workout this morning, but I pushed myself and I was sooo glad that I did!  Burned 138 calories in just the warm up.  This is NOT an easy workout!!!  I was dripping sweat by the end and completely DONE!  Drank half of my recovery drink after workout and added in some extra ice.  I needed it.  I was shaking all over!  My shower was definitely needed.

Meals have gone well.
b - shakeology
s - recovery drink (1/2)
l - veggie chili w/ beans and brown rice, daiya cheese and 1 tsp veganaise
s - green lemonade (SUPER YUMMY!!)
d - not sure yet, hoping Brian will want to go for sushi!

I'll be back tomorrow for another recap!

2-8-11

I had a GREAT day!  Got up full of energy and ready to get a good workout in.  Today is treadmill time and I was ready to see what I could do.  I ran for 30 mins (short warm up and cool downs) and went 2.2 miles.  I was pleased.  I think I will be able to do the 5K at this rate.  Keep your fingers crossed!  Then had fit club last night and we did Slim Series, Firm it up!  I am feeling this today.  My hips are killings me.  Those darned hip flexors.

Meals:
b - shakeology
s - bowl of berries (strawberries, blueberries and raspberries) with a drizzle of agave nectar
l - potato soup with pumpkin seeds and 1/4 avocado  - 6 whole wheat crackers
s - green smoothie (blue dino!)  YUM!
d - veggie chili over sweet onion pasta with pickles and onions, 6 more whole wheat crackers

water - 68 oz.

workout - treadmill and firm it up

Ok, so I'm really sore today.  I should've done Insanity today, but since I was so stinkin' sore, decided yoga/stretching was in order instead.  I'm okay with that!!

Beachbody Coaching

I have had a few people ask me recently about Beachbody coaching, what is required and what you do as a coach!  So, I wanted to be sure to answer your questions!

TOP TEN FAQ’s of Beachbody Coaching

1.What is a coach?

Beachbody refers to their reps as “coaches”. They call them coaches because they are more than just “distributors” or “reps”. Yes, they have the ability to sell and suggest fitness products and workouts, but they also have a vested interest to “coach” the people they are in contact with into a better and healthier way of life. Look at it this way…I’ve thought of myself as a coach for many years while working in the fitness industry or just by working out in the gym and offering advice to my neighbor. Now I can make it official and start earning money to do what I’ve been doing passionately for all those years.
2.Who can be a coach?

ANYONE! You do not need to be invited; you can make this decision yourself and sign up today! We strongly encourage those to join in the coaching business who have a strong desire to reach their deepest goals. This is a home based business working as the “go-to” person, for helping people get fit! You do not need to have certifications, degrees, or years of experience working in the fitness industry to do this. All you need to do, is to continue to be an example yourself and share your successes with others! You can be a fitness professional, in the best shape of your life, or working your way to the best shape of your life….as long as you are committed and dedicated to staying accountable, you can help others become accountable in their goals too!

3.What do I “do” everyday as a coach?

Depending on where you want to take your business or the direction of your goals, this answer can be different for everyone. But primarily the common answer is to – Share your Story! As a coach, you have the ability to sell any Beachbody item from their nutritionals all the way to their workout videos. Just start telling your story and letting people know of your new business venture. The word will spread! You may also spend your time getting in touch with your network and circle around you. You will have the greatest gains in your business if you build your team of coaches.

4.What are the fees to join?

Beachbody really wants to make this as affordable as possible, so that we can make a HUGE difference in our direction to change one person at a time in becoming more fit and healthy!

Initial Join in Cost: $39.95

This includes your Business Kit which will be shipped to you (s/h extra)
and your FIRST month’s fee of your personal Coaching Webpage.

• As a club member, you will have access to additional fitness and nutritional programs available to you on your webpage. BUT the #1 reason to be a part of this is Beachbody’s LEAD GENERATION PROGRAM!

Those come in and get assigned to the next active emerald coach (or higher) in line. You will earn commissions from these customers REPEAT business! You will also earn BONUS Commissions off of their CLUB MEMBERSHIP dues! (billed and paid quarterly) Just for being ACTIVE!

6. How do I earn income as a Beachbody coach?

There are several very detailed ways of earning income and the many ways to really make a significant income. But in general, here are the basics:

Any sales to customers of products from your website or directly from yourself- 25% commission.
Customers who join the CLUB MEMBERSHIP- you earn 50% of their quarterly membership dues. Personally sponsored coaches who are in the CLUB MEMBERSHIP earn you 50% commission. ADDTIONALLY- Your Downline TEAM CYCLE BONUSES can pay out when you bank a certain amount of points.
Customers in the Club Membership- you receive 15% commission on any of their purchases.

As a Beachbody Coach, you get a 25% discount on any item you personally want to purchase as well!

7. Do I have to stock inventory?

No, you do not. This is a virtual business operated via a webstore that is provided to you by Beachbody. However, you can purchase items in greater amounts and sell them at your leisure or as drop shipments.

8. Can I be a Coach if I’m not in the US?

At this time, only USA, USA Territories and Military locations can sign up as a coach. Beachbody is currently in the process of registering with Canadian authorities. We hope this proces will be complete by the end of 2009. We believe Canada will be the first international location, but Beachbody has plans to extend the opportunity to numerous other countries.

9. How can I fit this in my daily life? I’m already way too busy!

If you are involved in fitness already, this will be MUCH easier for you! This will be natural and follow what you normally do already! Opportunity always presents itself, now you’ll just have a way of earning commissions on the programs you’ve already been suggesting. The extent to which you develop your “downline” is up to each individual. You can be very aggressive to create a long downline of coaches and retail sales. As someone involved in fitness, you’ll find yourself having the same conversations you would naturally when people ask you the many questions they often do about “getting fit” and losing weight.

10. Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel in your first 30 days, and be completely refunded the first months fees. Thereafter, you can cancel at anytime and only be out, the amount of time you were in the business. However, if you decide you want to rejoin, you will lose your seniority position and level you were once in the company as well as have to wait a 6 month period from cancellation before you can re-join.

Please contact me for more information, or simply click here if you are ready to be a Coach.  It should show up that Iwill be your sponsor:  dmoritz!

Beachbody® does not guarantee any level of success or income from the Beachbody Coach Opportunity. Each Coach’s income depends on his or her own efforts, diligence, and skill. See our Statement of Independent Coach Earnings for the most recent information on our Coaches’ actual incomes.

Fit Club Monday!

Another weekend has come and gone. If you over-indulged this weekend, just get back on track today. Don't continue down the steep slope, climb back up! You'll be glad you did!

Fit Club today is Insanity. This workout is not for the faint of heart. It is hard, but it is do-able. You may have to modify some of the moves and that is okay. But, if you are a beginner, I recommend you choose a different workout to start with! I can give you some suggestions if you want.

Here is a clip of Insanity! Don't let it skeer you away :)

Purchase Insanity now

I am starting a round of P90X weight workouts mixed with Insanity cardio and one day a week for yoga. I am taking Sundays as a rest/stretch day. I'm sure that I will need it. This is a 12 week rotation.

Tonight's workout is Plyo Cardio Circuit. I like this one, it's challenging, yet I can keep up for the most part. Of course I have already completed one round of Insanity.

Today's recipe:

White Beans and Fusilli - The Healthy Kitchen by Andrew Weil, MD and Rosie Daley

This makes a great lunch as well as an entree for dinner. I make this pasta dish with beans because they provide a bit of portein. Serve with a green salad and a sliced French baguette brushed with olive oil and toasted!

White Beans

1 cup Great Northern or cannellini benas, soaked overnight in 3 cups of water to cover and 1/2 tsp baking soda.
1 bay leaf
3 cups vegetable stock or broth
Pesto

1/2 cup walnuts
5 cups fresh basil
5 large cloves garlic, peeled or smashed
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese ( or Parma! - a non-dairy alternative)
2 tbsp olive oil

Pasta

1 lb fusilli or pasta shells
1/2 tsp salt
1 small onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 bunch escarole, chopped
1/3 tsp dried rosemary
1 tbsp olive oil
salt to taste

Garnish

1 lemon sliced

Drop the bay leaf into the pot of water that the beans have soaking in overnight. Bring the water to a boil, pour in the vegetable stock and cook for 45 mins or longer. The beans should be able to be easily pierced with a fork.

Make the pesto: Put all thepsto ingredients except the oil in a food processor and blend. slowly add theoil and continue to process until it becomes a smooth paste. Set aside.

Bring a loarge pot of water with the salt to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until it is al dente.

Meanwhile, saute the onions, garlice, escarole and rosemary in 1 tbsp of olive oil until limp. Add salt to taste and mix in with the beans.
Drain the pasta in a colander and pour it into a large bowl. Add about 1/3 cup of the pesto or more to taste and toss well until it is distributed evenly and the strands of pasta are coated.

Serve the pasta in 6 individual pasta bowls and ladle white beans on top. Garnish each with a slice of lemon.

If you want to be added to my mailing list, I send out an email per week that goes into more detail about the featured workout of the week, send me an email and I'll get you added. dana@missourifitclub.com

You can always get a free account at Missouri Fit Club and I will help to coach you to the results you want!

Today's workout song of the day will make you move. It's so fun! Don't blame me if you don't get up and dance :)

totally crazy day

I've had a crazy day today. The internet has been down for the majority of the day. Bring in AT&T to save the day..... don't hold your breath just yet.

The repair guy showed up quicker than I thought he would and he was a very nice man. He told me he was new (uh-oh) and would see if he couldn't get the problem resolved. He installed a whole house filter, did something outside on the phone box and it seemed to be working. Cut to 30 minutes later.... no internet again. UGH! Luckily, he left me his card and cell number and told me to call if it didn't work again. So, I did! I think he might've been a little surprised to hear from me, but he said " I knew I would regret not changing out that modem!" So, I now have a new modem. We'll see if that fixes the problem. I hope so!

Meredith came over in the midst of all the internet fun and we did Brazil Butt Lift Bum Bum workout. It was good and I think we'll both feel it in the morning. She told me that Leandro ( the workout trainer in the videos) reminded her of Franc from Father of the Bride. Not in the way he looked, but in the way he talked. When he told us to move backwards, Meredith thought he said something about the curves. So, we laughed and sweat through the whole thing! That is always a good thing :)

My eating has been odd today. I've been hungry all day. I had my pb oatmeal for breakfast, it was yummy sweetened with agave nectar and a splash of almond milk. At 10:00, I was starving again. Leftover pasta primavera was calling my name. Lunch was a tofurky sandwich on the new thin buns. I REALLY like the thin buns. 100 calories and multi-grain to boot! I added a little hummus and a couple of tortilla chips ( I don't think I've ever mentioned my love of tortilla chips hmmmm.. that could be a whole other post).

It's almost time for my next workout today. Brian, Jason and Kristi are coming over to be tortured, I mean, workout with me. I haven't decided what we will do. Maybe some yoga, maybe some Insanity. Just have to see what I feel like when they walk through the door.

What are your favorite workouts? Do you prefer the gym or working out at home. Machines vs. videos?

Busy, but fun weekend!

Sorry that I went a little MIA the last few days. We've been busy. Friends came by for a quick visit on Friday. I also had my little Madelyn Friday night. I was brave enough to take her out for dinner with our friends. She was a trooper and did so good!

We met up with friends for dinner at Chatters. Good food and good conversation always makes for a great evening!

Saturday was spent getting things together for the house remodel we are doing. We made the deal on this house right before Brian had his accident. I had to go to closing on it by myself and we have had the boys working on it as well as now paying someone to finish it up. Brian is just beside himself because he can't do the work himself. We purchased the light fixtures and doorknobs, I got to load and unload the truck LOL! I'll be glad to get this one done.

Today has been a crazy day. Woke up super early. Had a great Shakeology breakfast and then we got a call that our rental property had a drug bust the night before. Oh great! We got that all taken care of and I got started on redoing Jake's old bedroom. I am turning it into a guest room. Mom will have a great place to stay when she and Dad come for Thanksgiving! I cleaned and mopped, got the new bed put up and now I'm ready to re-decorate! I'm going to look for a great rug and bed coverings. Not sure what else I'll put in there, but it will be fun shopping for cute things this week.

Tomorrow starts week 5 of Insanity. I'm a little scared. These workouts are hard and we are going to the next level! Whew, it will be challenging. I need to take my measurements tomorrow morning and see what kind of results I've had so far. I know that my clothes are fitting a little looser, but I haven't lost any weight.

I'll be posting pictures of the room re-do as soon as I get it done. Took the before pics today.

Gonna take it easy for the rest of the night. Have another good giveaway for tomorrow, be sure to check in!!

Mood Lifters and Cute Socks by Karen Neuburger

Lately I have found that I am in need of a mood lift. I think being home for sooo long and Brian's condition has affected my moods. I'm usually a pretty upbeat, happy and positive person. Lately, I'm tired all the time, mad or just plain ol' depressed. So, I'm looking around for ways to improve my mood.

MUSIC - putting on my ipod and dancing around the house always can make me happy. I love all kinds of music and will sing along with the best of them. This even seems to be improving Brian's mood LOL! He's laughing at me singing along with the ipod. Surely it isn't THAT bad???
EXERCISE - nothing make those endorphins raise like exercise. I've been doing the Insanity workouts with my workout buddies! The more I sweat, the better I feel

FAMILY/FRIENDS - being with my favorite people will raise my mood leaps and bounds. Having the kids over and taking care of Madelyn one day a week is helping. Going out with friends is also a great time! It's a nice break from the daily routine!!
CUTE SOCKS - I got these adorable socks and am really enjoying them. Karen Neuburger Pure Comfort socks are enriched with Aloe vera and Vitamin E. These have made my dry heels much better and they hold up well in the wash. The aloe vera and vitamin E will last for 20 washings. I've washed mine several times and they are still leaving my feet soft, but not greasy! This would be a great stocking stuffer for Christmas! $8 retail value! Cute socks are a true mood lifter! SUNSHINE - it seems that Brian and I missed most of the summer. Stuck in the hospital and then indoors during the best part of the summer. I love the hot weather, going to the lake and just enjoy being outdoors. Swimming, walking or biking, anything outdoors is good to my mood! Brian ordered me the HDvision sunglasses. I really like them too! Perfect for being outside in the sun! I hope that we have a mild winter (we have heard a wet, cold winter is in store for us UGH!) and little snow. COOKING/BAKING - I LOVE to cook and bake. I have been enjoying some great cookbooks lately. I just got Alicia Silverstone's The Kind Diet and really like all the recipes I have made so far. Rustic Pasta was amazing! I can't wait to make the peanut butter cups. These are just a few of my favorite mood lifters. What do you do to get in a better mood? Be sure to visit Karen Neuburger!!!

Insanity - Day 2

I just finished Insanity Plyometric Cardio Circuit. Talk about exhausting. Allen and I are doing this together and I'm glad I have someone there to push me through the workouts! This one is tough and really does make you DIG DEEPER! Tomorrow is our big day! The new grandbaby will be here. I can't wait to meet Miss Madelyn. Chase and Meredith will be going in to the hospital at 5 AM in the morning. The dr. thinks Madelyn will be here by 1:00 PM. So much excitement. I'll be sure to post a LOT of pictures :) Brian is getting better every day. Today we had a big day. We went in the car and ran all his errands. I am having a hard time getting my job done with having to do all his errands!! I need to clone myself these days, but we are making it!!

Shaun T's Insanity

I can't wait for this workout to come out! I got to try it out at the coach's summit and the whole time I was lovin' it. Shaun T was going through the crowd and having people raise their knees higher and work harder. I was praying that he wouldn't come up to me, I don't think I could get my knees any higher!!! Check out this video!!!
