Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is my daddy's birthday!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

So glad that I'll get to see Dad this week!
Love you bunches!

Brian put up new ceiling fans at the lake house yesterday.  I think they look great!

We had a GREAT time at the Vision Vodka Oklahoma Launch Party!  Good food, good drinks and great people to chat with!

Bionic Tonic
Vision Vodka, Chambord with a splash of cranberry juice and tonic.
Shaken and served over ice with a lime.
YUM!

Beautiful bottle!

Why is it that when Brian takes a photo I'm always eating or have my mouth open?

superbowl superfun!

Ww had a great time yesterday at the super bowl party!  Food was GREAT!  Had a couple of drinks and then just enjoyed the evening!

Glad to just be around my family and friends!!

Allen and Brian dressed alike, isn't that sweet?

me and my boys!

can't go without one of these shots!

Me and Hermina

the girls!

the family room was full!

Lauren enjoyed her snow sno-cone!  Blue tongue!

So, we all enjoyed the game.  Several were cheering the Steelers, fewer for the Packers, but in the end, Brian was wanting the Pack to win because he had the right numbers for the pool!!!  YAY!  He won $125!!

Good times for everyone!  I was disappointed in the Natioanl Anthem, Christina can really sing, but I think she over-sang it and I think she was more into the "runs" than remembering the lyrics.  The commercials were so-so......  My favorite was the Doritos one where the guy sucked the cheese off the other guys fingers and mini Darth Vader.  I thought the halftime show was pretty good.  So sad that the sound guy messed up somewhat, but I enjoyed it.  I was one of the only ones that did.....

football

I love football.  Growing up, we ALWAYS watched the football games on Sundays.  Never missed them!  So, it is a tradition that has carried over to my house as well.  My favorite team is the Kansas City Chiefs, I have loved them for years, through thick and thin!  There's been quite a bit more thin than thick!  So, I am excited for Superbowl 2011 today.  Not as excited as I would be if the Chiefs had made it, but excited enough to have a big party!  YAY!  A reason to celebrate!!!

We are having friends over and it will be loads of fun!  I'm cleaning and cooking this morning and then be ready for the big game!  Brian LOVES the Steelers, so I think I'll be cheering on the Pack!  Really, I like both teams and don't care which one wins!

I'm making a BIG pot of veggie chili, a "cheesy" dip (don't tell!!) and a veggie tray.  One of our friends is going to cook the phesant that they hunters brought home from their last hunting trip and everyone else is bringing a dish as well.  There will be GOOD food!

It's now time for a little truthful tell-all!

I have really not done well the last few weeks with my workouts or my eating.  I've been watching what I eat somewhat, but probably eating more than I should.  I thought I was ready to get back into my daily routine, but I didn't stick with it!  So, when I got on the scale this morning, my eyes popped out of my head.  It has caught up with me and FAST!

I have a bad relationship with the scale.  Either I weigh several times per day or I don't weigh at all.  Neither one is good.  So, I'm bringing the scale back out.  I need to, I have to know where I am.  It's NOT PRETTY!!!!

Brian and I have decided that a little wager is in order so we can get back to our healthy habits.  This should be fun.  I think I might be in trouble though.  Brian can lose weight easily if he really puts his mind to it.  So, I am going to have to be extra diligent!

I'm going to be posting the good, the bad and the ugly all here for you to help me stay on track!  I'm going to be doing Insanity ( I think, going to make my final decision today) and I'll post it all!  Workouts, food and how I am feeling! I hope you don't mind, but I have to have the accountability!  I need the fitness support!

We are going to Savannah in about a month and I think I need to be on track and in shape for that trip!  I may have to put on a bathing suit.. That should be motivation enough...

pheasant party

Last night we had a get together at our house for the end of summer blowout.  The hunters all came over and they cooked the pheasant they shot this year.  It was pan-fried, smoked and grilled.  We had all kinds of yummy side dishes as well as some REALLY good desserts!  The best part was the friends!  We had a good time and everyone seemed to behave themselves :)

Don slaved over the stove!

Brian was in charge of the grill, Steve decided to help!

The big spread, it was tasty!  Can you guess which dish I made????

I got to use my new birthday cup!
Luckily, it didn't go to any blows!!

We had a great time, I'm so glad we all got together!

Nick is 21 - lookout world!

The last of the birthdays for this month has come and gone! Yesterday was Nick's 21st. We all braved the snow and ice and went out to dinner. I usually cook their favorite meal and favorite cake, but since Nick was 21, he wanted to purchase ( well, us to purchase) an alcoholic beverage. We picked up Nick and Lauren and met Chase, Meredith and Madelyn at Chatter's. We made a reservation, but it wasn't needed. Not too many people out in this mess. Just so you know, we ended up with about 10 inches of snow with a nice layer of ice underneath. UGH! I don't like winter.
We had a great time and Nick loved his gift - a new tool pouch and his fave chocolate! He also got a Wal-Mart gift card. Exciting for sure. He buys movies like they are going out of style. So I'm sure that he will put this to good use!

It's so hard to believe that Nick is 21. It seems like it was yesterday he was running around the house asking for a bwana (banana).
Hope you had a wonderful night, son! I love you!!
I am going to attempt some stretching or yoga today. I have yoga paws and will be posting a review soon! My back is slowly getting better. Wondering if I should go to the chiropractor or just get another massage or both or neither..... Oh, the choices I have. :)

I am really missing my workouts, I haven't been able to workout since Monday. I'm thinking I'll take it easy over the weekend and then be ready for Monday again. I'm also missing my weights. Considering adding ChaLEAN Extreme to my Insanity workouts. More choices!!!
